Hey,

what bearings are the right ones to use in the wheels? i got 4x 6000ZZs with the metal shields and 4x 6000RS bearings with the plastic seals. not sure which ones to go with

and also should the axle diameter be any smaller then the actual bearings ID for any reason. the ID of the bearings is 10mm and the axle is 9.8mm pretty well along its entire length so its a pretty poor fit. this is off a banshee so im guessing its just a case of chinese quality Razz but want to check first before i go and get axles the right size.

cheers,
Glen

All the wheel bearings i have seen on quality bikes have been the plastic seals (RS) so personally id go with them!! I know thats what BZM sell.
As far as the axle size id say ask John or Danny but id imagine you would want a tight fit with no play in it although 0.2mm isnt much play at the speed our bikes turn the wheels you might end up with problems in the bearings sooner rather than later!!

cool ill use the plastic seal ones then Smile

probably better get the right size axle too. the surface down at that old abandoned go kart track in tregear is rough as guts. i think thats pretty well smashed them apart + the axles being too small didnt help Shocked

Make sure you don't forget to use the spacer inside the hub or you will smash those bearings to pieces withing 2 corners Wink

just a conclusion, i checked out a GRC axle on the weekend and it was 9.75mm so the banshee ones are fine. saves me a bit of money Smile
